Let's Keep Central Massachusetts Dancing!

About Us

Dancers of Central Massachusetts was formed in April 1999 by a small group of avid ballroom dancers in the Worcester, MA. area. DOCMA is local chapter #3039 of the national organization USA DANCE Inc.
We are a volunteer organization whose purpose is to promote ballroom dancing in the Central Massachusetts area. We do this by holding monthly dances in the Worcester vicinity, usually at Maironis Park in Shrewsbury (see our calendar of events). Our social dances include a free dance lesson, mixers, refreshments, and dance hosts. In December, our Winter Ball, held at lake Pearl Luciano's in Wrentham, attracts dancers from all six New England states. Our Spring Ball, also held at Luciano's also attracts people far and wide.
Our outreach program performs monthly at local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
DOCMA members enjoy substantial discounts on our great social dances and dinner dances

Becoming a member
If you sign up for membership at a DOCMA dance, your admission to the dance is free! Registration allows you to dance in local, regional and international competitions. Membership is open to singles, as well as couples. Beginners are welcome.

Enjoy the opportunities to help others by becoming involved in our Outreach Programs, which bring the physical, mental and social benefits of ballroom dancing to the aged, the young and the general public.

The cost of membership is only $25.00 annually for a "social dancer" status.

Volunteer Opportunities
We are a volunteer organization and are always looking for input, ideas and especially people who would like to get involved and help out with our events. We have developed an exciting and varied Operating Plan for this year and beyond, which offers many types of activities for which we can use volunteers.
