Our Mission
Dancers of Central Massachusetts was
formed in mid-1998 by a small group of avid ballroom dancers
in Worcester, MA. DOCMA is local chapter #3039 of the national
organization USA DANCE Inc.
We
are a volunteer organization and our "mission" is to promote
ballroom dancing in the Worcester area. We do this by holding
social dances at least once a month at various locations in
the Worcester vicinity (see our calendar of events). The social dances include a
free one hour dance lesson, cash raffle, mixer, refreshments,
and dance hosts. In addition to the social dances, we have
dance workshops in conjunction with our local dance studios
for all levels of dancers.
Our
outreach program puts on dance performances at local nursing
homes.
